Welcome! We are regular classroom teachers, utilizing technology with our Title 1 students. We have access to technology in our classrooms, but often our students do not have access at home to watch our videos, which makes flipping the classroom ineffective. We have coined the phrase, "Spinning the Classroom" because we are spinning the focus of the classroom from teacher centered to student centered. Our students can watch our "spin" videos quickly, in the classroom, and we then utilize the additional time for better formative assessment, student collaboration, and higher-level thinking, creating a more efficient use of classroom time. Our website is dedicated to helping other teachers figure out how to do the same. Even though we are all social studies teachers, we think you'll find something helpful for all subject areas! We will be updating the site with tutorials and new tech ideas, so check back regularly!
